City of Segovia
The crown jewel of Segovia province is the capital city, also called Segovia. It has a rich history of primarily Roman influence, evidenced by the architecture and other interesting structures. Of course, you’ll want to visit the famed Roman Aqueduct, the dominant piece of ancient construction in the area. Amazingly, this 800 meter long structure was built entirely without cement, mortar, or any other material to bind the stones together. It has stood for almost 2,000 years and stayed strong because the pieces of stone fit together so perfectly.
Perhaps the most visible structure in the city of Segovia is the Alcazar, an enduring structure that has been in place since at least the 12th century. Despite centuries of remodeling, expansion, destruction and rebuilding the palace remains an adored part of the local landscape. Visitors gazing upon it for the first time may get a feeling that somehow, it looks familiar, and in fact it does - Alcazar was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland. Popular culture aside, the palace is historically significant because it is where Isabel the Catholic lived at the time she became Queen of Spain, and it is also where Christopher Columbus had an audience with her when he was seeking funding for his famous voyage.
There are many other amazing sights that any visitor to the city of Segovia should make an effort to see. Its location at the top of a long ridge makes it an excellent place to view the surrounding countryside and the many restaurants, churches, cafes and shops make it an excellent place to explore for several days.

In 4 days - our whirlwind trip - and after visiting the key golfing destinations in the immediate vicinity of Mosa (Las Ramblas, Campomar, Villa Martin and La Manga), a quick trip into Murcia, many hours chatting to the Sales Team and being introduced to future Mosa residents, and MANY, MANY beers and Irish Whiskey's later(!) we were hooked! We had a gut feeling that Mosa would meet our criteria.
A highly sought after location."
