EL Teatro Romano
The Roman Theatre dates from the First Century b.c. and is seen as one of the best examples of this genre in Spain. The theatre was first discovered in 1987 and excavational activities are being continued to the present day. The Roman Theatre can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 until 14:00 and from 16:00 until 18:00. On Sundays the Theatre can only be visited during the morning timetable. Guided tours are also available every day between 11:00 and 12:00 or between 16:00 and 17:00.
EL Centro de Artesania
This centre displays a wide array of local handicrafts sold here for the same prices as at the workshop. It is a great place to visit to get a clear picture of the beautiful handicrafts, such as ceramics, glass and textiles that are produced in the region.
Museo Arqueologico Municipal
The Municipal Archeological Museum of Cartagena is the place to go to learn of the most important archeological activities in and around the city. A big part of the collection dates back to the 16th Century and was shown to the public in this museum for the first time in 1943.
This museum is open to the public from Tuesday until Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 and also between 16:00 and 18:00. On Saturday and Sunday the museum can be visited in the morning but on Monday it is closed. There is a special August timetable from 9:00 until 14:00.
