La Catedral de Santa Maria

The Cathedral of Santa Maria is a good example of the use of different styles of architecture, reflecting the fact that it was built over several 4 countries.

The sculpture and the architecture of the façade are done in a baroque style. The tower, which is more than 300 feet high, is a combination of different styles, namely Tuscan and baroque architecture. The Cathedral can be visited every day of the week between 10:00 and 13:00 and also between 17:00 and 19:00.

El Casino

The Casino dates from 1847 and several different architects spent around 50 years constructing it: the end result is an impressive and distinctive building. There are several function areas, for instance a library, congress room and art gallery. There are also a variety of bars and restaurants to discover. The ballroom was built between 1870 and 1875 and many visitors find it worth a special visit.

El Museo Salzillo

The Salzillo Museum was founded in 1941 and exhibits the work of the famous Spanish sculptor Francisco Salzillo Alcaraz, who lived from 1707 to 1783. He was a devoutly religious man and this is reflected in the works on display. In 1962 this museum was officially declared a historic and artistic monument.
